This is a list I’m maintaining for remote and distributed software teams who are looking to do and plan an offsite to have fun and increase team bonding.

• Building a Puzzle: each team member buys a puzzle they like and you build it together in a video call.
• Building a Lego set: same as above.
• Doing an Airbnb experience: many companies opt for this and it’s very common, but my experience has been that Airbnb aren’t that fun and entertaining.
• Cooking something together: you can vote on a dish to cook together, or even better you try to make it from the country of a team member. This can make people learn more about a team member and their culture and ask plenty of questions.
• Pottery Painting: you pain pottery together.
