In this post I will document ways I learned that tend to make a presentation fun and engaging. I will keep maintaining this list as I learn new techniques from watching other presentations.

• A slide about statistics: people tend to love numbers and facts, and I noticed that an audience gets really engaged when a slide with some statistics is presented in a simple & fun way. For example, if you are presenting something about a new technology, it’s helpful to add a slide about some statistics about e.g. its usage, salaries, number of people in the field … etc.
• A slide that compares things: people tend to compare & judge in general, and adding a slide that compares thing will get the audience to concentrate and pay attention. E.g. if you are talking about a new tech, add a slide that compares its pros & cons to an old one.
